Cappadocia Sustainable Gastronomy and Tourism Association

Cappadocia Sustainable Gastronomy and Tourism Association is a community formed by KÜN-affiliated academics, chefs, entrepreneurs, producers, and gastronomy enthusiasts. The association appreciates and values Cappadocia's gastronomic heritage. By utilizing the resources of Cappadocia University's Gastronomy, Culinary Arts, and Cooking Departments, it aims to revive the region’s nearly forgotten recipes, products, and gastronomic traditions, integrate sustainable tourism with gastronomy experiences to create a multiplier effect, and pass this cultural and culinary knowledge on to future generations.

The association carries out the following activities:

1) Documenting Cappadocia's local products, traditional recipes, and cooking techniques

2) Highlighting Cappadocia's gastronomic heritage through our website, gastrocappadocia.com

3) Encouraging greater use of local recipes and products in restaurants and accommodation facilities to increase the benefits that local food producers gain from tourism

4) Enhancing visitors’ experiences by positioning Cappadocia as a high-quality, unique, and sustainable gastronomy tourism destination

5) Developing training programs and knowledge-sharing platforms for all local stakeholders in the field of gastronomy through an integrated approach to economic, environmental, and social sustainability
