The seminar will address the impacts of farmers’ markets on income distribution, biodiversity, and rural development. Using examples from Africa and around the world, policy and financial levers for sustainable development will be shared, and the relationship between local production and global development will be discussed. Participants will gain insights into the sustainable strategies implemented in these markets and their social benefits, and will engage in discussions on how economic development and environmental sustainability can be achieved together.
